1 traffic light south of St. George and Bloor)

YOUR INVITED AGAIN!

On April 1st and 2nd, members of the World Council of Churches Relations Committee
(Canada) and the Board of the US Conference of the World Council of Churches will be
meeting jointly in Toronto. Members of both groups include members of the WCC Central
Committee, Ecumenical Officers and those of us involved in the commissions of the WCC.
Special guests include the North American President of the WCC and the new Director of
Faith and Order, Dr John Gibaut (a graduate of Trinity College!).

All Trinity Divinity students and faculty are invited to a panel presentation and
discussion on the topic of "Care of Creation" to be held in the Combination Room from
1:15- 3:00pm on Wednesday, April 2nd. (Refreshments provided!) Panellists will include
a Trinity graduate, Laura Marie Piotrowicz, St Michael's College professor Dr. Dennis
O'Hara, a WCC staff person and an American young adult (to be confirmed). Please do come
out to hear the panellists and discussion. It's a very pertinent topic and we'll have an
excellent group of committed ecumenists present from across North America. There won't
be a Divinity Forum that day, so this will take its place.

Also, following the panel there will be a gathering of both American and Canadian young
adults and those interested in talking about ecumenical possibilities for young adults in
North America. This will be a chance to share experiences and information and discuss
possible ways of collaborating in the future. If you are interested in joining this
discussion, please do! It will last about an hour and will be fairly informal. For
information on this event, please contact Natasha Klukach (natasha.klukach@utoronto.ca).
(I represent the Anglican Church on the WCC Standing Commission on Faith and Order and am
a member of the WCCR.)

Invitation to a talk

Wycliffe College

Wednesday March 12 - 7 to 9 p.m. – Room to be announced

Guest Speaker Bishop Graham Cray oversees an exciting and highly successful programme in
the Church of England called Fresh Expressions. It is a broadly based movement within the
C of E to foster the development of new Christian congregations for the de-churched and
non-churched. It is innovative, yet distinctively Anglican, and has proven helpful in
reaching many elements in English society. Bishop Cray has given presentations on this
ministry all over the world and his presentation promises to be very stimulating and
engaging. The initiatives have taken place right across the churchly spectrum, including
liberal Anglo Catholic. Trinity students and faculty are most welcome to attend
